Outside sales engineer for the inland empire

 

Summary of Functions:

The Outside Sales Engineer creates and implements sales and marketing strategies that will result in an increase in product sales and market penetration within their assigned geographic territory. They are responsible for growing their territory based on targets set each year. They will inherit and be responsible for maintaining all accounts in their territory with a focus on growing their top OEM’s and production/special engineered solutions.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. 1. Develop Annual Territory Sales Plan in conjunction with management. Manage monthly to ensure goals and initiatives are met by year-end.
  2. 2. Maintain territory – prioritize time & resources to assigned OEM’s, End Users and Resellers. Grow and qualify new customers in territory annually based on strategic plan goals.
  3. 3. Identify key buying influences, applications and/or value-add opportunities by customer.
  4. 4. Facilitate communication with SSE’s and factories along with Outreach to drive new opportunities.
  5. 5. Develop & manage pipeline and report into CRM.
  6. 6. Attend and present at Monthly Sales Meeting.
  7. 7. Attend factory and/or industry-sponsored training sessions.
  8. 8. Work with all departments on Continuous Quality Improvement opportunities.
  9. 9. Recognize customers’ needs and propose customized solutions.
  10. 10. Engage and lead Brenner-Fiedler’s resources as needed to secure business.
  11. 11. Ability to manage the complex selling process, consisting of engagement at all levels of a prospect organization, from engineering and technical team to senior management.

 

Qualifications: 

  1. 1. Product knowledge of Automation and Pneumatic devices and software.
  2. 2. Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
  3. 3. Ability to work and communicate in a team environment.
  4. 4. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
  5. 5. Ability to work independently on-site/off-site.
  6. 6. Ability to develop and implement strategies.
  7. 7. Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years experience in an industry-related field.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Knowledge of pneumatic and engineering principles.
  2. Aptitude for technical applications.
  3. Knowledge of sales process.
  4. Ability to motivate and improve team effectiveness.
