Major Duties and Responsibilities

  1. 1. Serve as project lead for automation projects
  2. 2. Design custom machinery and robotic applications
  3. 3. Conduct design reviews and quote proposals
  4. 4. Create quotes of automation systems
  5. 5. Design custom compressed air and vacuum systems
  6. 6. Design safety enclosures and work stations
  7. 7. Design end of arm tooling for gantry and robotic applications
  8. 8. Program robotic systems
  9. 9. Accompany the sales team on field calls

 

Qualifications 

  1. 1. 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a related field
  2. 2. Experience with designing and upgrading automated equipment, working in a team environment, and working on multiple projects at once
  3. 3. Knowledge of machining and assembly tools, equipment, and techniques
  4. 4. Experience with a solid-molding CAD software package such as CATIA, Pro/ENGINEER or SolidWorks
  5. 5. Strong communication skills
  6. 6. Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic and electronic devices commonly used in automated equipment
  7. 7. 3+years of experience designing and developing electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems
  8. 8. Experience in automation solutions with a focus on robotics
  9. 9. Robotic programming
  10. 10. Experience designing industrial or manufacturing automated systems
  11. 11. Experience using machining and assembly tools and techniques
  12. 12. Ability to work directly with vendors to specify, source and integrate machine components
  13. 13. Experience with getting project definition from customers and meeting their needs
  14. 14. Working knowledge of industrial pneumatics and sensors
  15. 15. A strong analytical ability capable of understanding complex systems with multiple variables
  16. 16. Understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack up and manufacturing processes for precision machined parts
