Early 1940’s:  Milton Brenner & Walt Fiedler were college friends at U.C. Berkley and graduated with their degrees in electrical engineering.

Mid 1940’s:  After college, Walt Fiedler did his civic duty by going into the military for 2 years.

1948:  Milton Brenner bought & ran A.J. Barbera Company, an electrical representative business that was started in 1923.

1950’s:  Walt Fiedler returned from the service & joined Milton Brenner as a partner in A.J. Barbera, which was run out of a small office on Melrose in Hollywood, CA.

1951:  The company name was changed to Brenner-Fiedler.

1960’s:  Milton Brenner passed away.

1963:  Walt Fiedler brought in Lew Meier as a minority partner from Esterline Angus in Indianapolis, IN.

1964:  Herman Knapp, another Esterline Angus employee (and high school friend of Jim Kloman), moved to California & worked for Brenner Fiedler from 1964-1968.

Late 1960’s:  Brenner-Fiedler evolved into pneumatic distribution. GAST Manufacturing was the first manufacturer for Brenner-Fiedler to stock and distribute. Brenner-Fiedler steadily grew its offerings & now represents over 35 manufacturers.

1969:  Brenner-Fiedler moved to Paramount, CA. and became a GAST Certified Repair Center.

1970:  Jim Kloman joined Brenner-Fiedler as the fourth employed salesman on March 1, 1970.

1973:  When Lew Meier retired at age 65, Jim Kloman purchased his stock & became Walt’s minority partner.

1982:  Walt Fielder retired & Jim sought a partner.

1983:  Bob Schnieders joined Brenner-Fiedler as co-owner. Jim and Bob relocated the company to Cerritos, CA.

1989:  Ken Kloman joined Brenner-Fiedler upon graduation from California State University, Fullerton and worked in customer service before transitioning to outside sales.

1992:  Brenner-Fiedler established a second location in Tempe, AZ.

1999:  Seeking retirement, Bob negotiated to be bought out by Jim Kloman.

2000’s:  Jim Kloman became sole proprietor & operator.

2001:  Deborah Kloman-Lichter joined Brenner-Fiedler bringing 20 years of experience in business development and strategic planning.

2003:  Ken Kloman took on factory relations and sales management while Deborah Kloman-Lichter took over day-to-day operations. 

2004: Brenner-Fiedler added a Clean Room & production capabilities to its Cerritos location.

2005:  Ken Kloman & Deborah Kloman-Lichter joined Jim Kloman as co-owners of Brenner-Fiedler.

2007:  Brenner-Fiedler grew to 30 employees & began working towards ISO certification.

2008:  Brenner-Fiedler expanded their product line offerings to include Automation Control Products.

2009:  Brenner-Fiedler achieved ISO 9001:2008 Certification.

2010:  In two short years, Brenner-Fiedler grew to over 35 active employees.

2011:  Brenner-Fiedler acquired ACCI (Automation Controls & Components).
